I'm Wilson, and I'm part of BCG U, where through the RISE 2.0 program, we support thousands navigating career transitions.
This work is deeply personal to me — helping people move from uncertainty to confidence, and achieve their career breakthrough.
Through Career Tailwind, I share actionable insights from my career transition stories and the lessons I'm still learning, so that we can all move one step closer to a career that we truly care about.
About
Facing the most difficult periods of my career, cycling was my therapy. During long rides, I built resilience by fighting through the headwinds, and then experienced the momentum of the tailwind that carried me forward.
When I look back on my career, I see a long ride filled with unexpected turns. I've pedalled through brutal headwinds, including multiple layoffs, repeated rejection, self-doubt, where progress felt painfully slow. And I've felt the lift of tailwinds, including mentors who appeared at the right time, unexpected opportunities, small breakthroughs that rebuilt my confidence.
Cycling reminded me that both are part of the same journey. You don't quit in the headwinds, and you stay grateful in the tailwinds. That's why I started Career Tailwind to help us navigate our career transitions with structure, resilience and belief, so we can keep pedalling until the wind shifts in our favour.
